Vinyl Me, Please outdid themselves on this one. Announced this morning, vinyl club’s February Essentials Record of the Month is Van Morrison’s “lost masterpiece” Veedon Fleece.
Written and recorded during a period of personal tumult, the album was practically forgotten by Van himself after it came out, but in it hides one of the most spiritual, miraculous and poetic confessions of his career.
Reissued on vinyl for the first time in 30 years, I’m more than looking forward finally adding it to my collection.
